Besides being an artist full time he has worked on portuguese TV ( Broadcasting and Audio Post Production) and composed several soundtracks in theatre working up close with Tiago Rodrigues (Portuguese National Theatre Director), the founder alongside Magda Bizarro of Mundo Perfeito Theatre Company. This allowed him to tour all over Europe and South America (Brazil).

With Macaco do Chinês (guitarist/singer/producer), a band that where pioneers in crossing Hip-Hop, Dubstep and Grime with Portuguese traditional music he released two critically acclaimed albums and a mixtape. Macacos do Chinês toured both nationally and internationally, play in main festivals like Rock In Rio and stared in MTV’s Brand New TV concerts.

As a DNB producer he has been working closely and producing for Skalator Music, one of the most refreshing labels coming out of Portugal.

He is the music curator for Suka Suka Sundays, and resident DJ in Sub City, Lion City Bass and Ginga! where he invites DJ’s from Singapore and abroad to share the booth with him at White Label Records.

Being a very skilled and eclectic dj, he can spin from Drum and Bass to Reggae, from Afrobeats to Kuduro and Funk, all that makes you move, he is down for it.

Fabio, Grooverider, Calibre, Marky, Ed Rush and Optical, Digital, Randall, Mefjus, Goldie, Marcus Intalex, Bailey, TC, Dillinja, Lemon D, are just a few of many major players with whom Al:x has shared the the booth since he started playing regularly from 2001 in all the major clubs in Portugal.
